Group Classes

Group classes are great for students looking for classes to accompany their private lessons, or a great way to learn in a social setting. You can take a group lesson even if you don’t take a private lesson.

Choose between Musical Theatre – Drama – Songwriting Ensemble/Rockband –  Group Singing – A Cappella Choir – Guitar – Piano – Mini Music.

Musical Theatre

Musical theater combines dance music and drama together to develop the full range of skills any stage performer needs.

  • You don’t need to have taken dance drama or singing before to take this class.
  • We don’t skip on anything – All three disciplines are covered.
  • Students are abel to perform in our concerts through the year with both group work and solo oppertunities.

You will learn how to fill the stage with expression and excellence in this genre specific class.

Drama

This is a true standard drama class where students will work on important skills that they can use on stage and in life including:

  • Emotion and communication
  • Speech development
  • Character development
  • Stagecraft
  • Personal confidence
  • Acting with others and monologues.
  • And more

Drama students participate in two showcases each year where they have the chance to perform a play as a group and monologues.

Drama classes can be taken as an individual subject or supplement private music lessons as an additional learning opportunity to strengthen a musician’s performance confidence and emotional development.

Songwriting

The music industry consists primarily of original works and recording artists so it makes sense that we should have a class that covers those topics. In our songwriting class you will learn the craft of songwriting and construction while also gaining insight into the music industry and learning how to produce a song. Learn how to:

  • How to construct a and craft a song including, chord progressions, forming a melody,  writing for different instruments. (you don’t need to know how to play an instrument to write a great song, but i does help)
  • How to set up, run and operate your home studio.
  • How to edit, digitally compose and record and mix your songs.
  • Industry essential information including how to set up and promote your music brand.
  • Connect and network with other songwriters like yourself.

Ensemble/Rock Band

Experience the full picture of being part of a band like learning how to play as a group, developing performance skills and setting up the stage for your gigs.

  • We put you in a group of 4-6 players with similar taste, experience level, and age.
  • Your group has the freedom to explore any genre from indie and pop –  to rock and heavy metal.
  • You can even write original songs if you want!
  • Learn to play with other musicians and perform in a band as well as other industry essentials such as performance and set up.
  • Ensemble students have the opportunity to perform multiple times during a year and also get the chance to take part in their own showcases during the year.

Classes run for one hour each week at the same time every week.

A Cappella Singing

A Capella is the art of creating music with only the human voice and body. Think – Pentatonix, Pitch Perfect, The Sing Off and Glee.

  • It is a very demanding for of singing whilst still rewarding and fun.
  • Can be taken on it’s own or as a extra class to substitute your private singing lessons.
  • Due to the demanding nature of this class all students wishing to take A Cappella singing must audition before being accepted.
  • Take part is all of our showcases and outside performance oppertunities.

Group Singing/Choir

For anyone any age and any experience level. If you love singing you will love this class!!

  • You will learn songs and singing techniques. It’s like a private lesson in a group.
  • Perfect for anyone who might be shy to sing by themselves or if the private lesson isn’t right for you.
  • Also good for instrumentalists who want to know a bit about singing for their exams.

This is also a great way to meet other people. We will work hard but there is no reason why we can’t have fun doing it.

Group Piano

A perfect way to play with other guitarists. Create a huge sound with multiple people playing the same line.

  • It’s the guitar equivalent of choir but with stings!
  • Group and soloist opportunities
  • A good way of learning guitar is private lessons are not the right option.
  • Most experience levels welcome, but we do suggest you take a term of private lessons first so you can learn some basics.
Group Guitar

For anyone any age and any experience level. If you love singing you will love this class!!
